Introducing Fashion Prodigy Cecilia Cassini

She is a brilliant fashion designer adored by the likes of Brooke Shields and Denise Richards. At her first Trunk Show, she sold nearly 50 pieces in three hours to her loyal fans. When she heard the story about a Los Angeles girl who received a full scholarship to the L.A. Fashion Institute despite not having a sewing machine, she donated her own. In the past six months, she has been featured in the L.A. Times, Los Angeles Daily News, Inspire Magazine, StyleList, Yahoo! Green, and CBS News. Most recently, The Today Show has been following her story, which will air this Thursday, April 29.
She is also ten years old.

Her name is Cecilia Cassini-- fifth-grader, fashion designer, seamstress, and couture prodigy. The girl was born a designer. She began sewing when she was six years old, and for her first letter writing assignment in school, she wrote to (who else?) CoCo Chanel.

Today she has her own emerging line, a booming fan base, corporate sponsors, and endless media interest. She was recently a guest at New York Fashion Week where she mingled with Teen Vogue editor Kimball Hastings, Diane von Furstenberg, and Vogue publishers.

This Saturday, Buzznet will be joining Cecilia for her trunk show at Fred Segal Santa Monica. The event is open to the public, so if you're in the area, be sure to stop by and check out the latest collection from the youngest fashion designer in the country. We guarantee you will leave inspired!

Add Cecilia as a buddy here! Welcome to Buzznet, girly!
